Ice cold in thumping defeat Hyland totaled five points (2-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 15 minutes during Tuesday's 130-115 loss to the Timberwolves.

Impact Hyland was invisible in the loss, failing to deliver anything of note. While he has flashed some upside throughout the season, fantasy managers should not view him as a 12-team commodity just yet. The Nuggets have a host of backcourt options, meaning Hyland really needs to come out firing to sustain his playing time. For now, placing him on a watchlist is about all that needs to be done.

The rookie took advantage with a career-high point total and his first double-double in the NBA. Hyland has shown flashes of strong play this season, though he has yet to establish the consistency deserving of a roster spot in most fantasy leagues. Still, Saturday's showing is a reminder of why the Nuggets remain high on him and of his potential to be a fantasy asset eventually. For the moment, his strongest weapon is his three-point shot -- over his past two games, Hyland has gone 11-for-18 from beyond the arc.
