Zion Williamson - Out indefinitely The Pelicans announced Saturday that Williamson has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain and will be out indefinitely.
Impact Williamson already missed Friday's contest against Orlando due to his hamstring injury but is now set to remain sidelined for an extended period. While the 24-year-old forward managed to make 70 regular-season appearances in 2023-24, injuries are already plaguing his 2024-25 campaign. Until Williamson is able to return, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Javonte Green should continue to receive increased playing time.

Brandon Ingram - Poor shooting display Friday Ingram racked up 11 points (4-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and five assists over 26 minutes during Friday's 115-88 loss to Orlando.
Impact Jose Alvarado and Brandon Boston carried a depleted Pelicans team in this loss, but Ingram's overall outing was disappointing. It's not a secret that the veteran forward should be putting up better numbers and operating as a go-to player on offense, especially considering all the absences the Pels are dealing with at the moment. That said, this was the first "subpar" outing from Ingram since the beginning of November. In five games this month, Ingram is averaging 23.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game while shooting 46 percent from the field. Ingram will aim to bounce back in Monday's matchup against the Nets.

Brandon Boston Jr. - Scores season-high 26 points Boston registered 26 points (10-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Friday's 115-88 loss to the Magic.
Impact Boston is the next man up in a depleted Pelicans backcourt, but he's putting up decent numbers since being handed a more prominent role. He's scored at least 20 points in two of his three starts and is averaging 17.6 points per game in games in which he's logged at least 20 minutes, a trend that should continue for the foreseeable future.

Jose Alvarado - Productive showing once again Alvarado closed with 21 points (7-18 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 3-6 FT), five rebounds, five assists and three steals in 35 minutes during Friday's 115-88 loss to the Magic.
Impact Alvarado was unable to repeat his outstanding performance from the loss to the Cavaliers on Friday when he scored a season-high 27 points while going 7-for-7 from beyond the arc. However, he posted his second straight game with at least 20 points and scored in double digits for the fifth time in six starts. He's stepping up for the Pelicans amid a rough stretch since four of the projected five starters are injured. Since being promoted to a starting role, Alvarado is averaging 17.2 points, 5.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 44.7 percent from deep.
