Impact For virtually the entire season, the Pelicans have mostly played it coy with the situation, but with only a handful of games remaining, it's become clear that Williamson won't make it back before the end of the campaign. While Williamson was cleared for some basketball activities earlier in March, he's thus far been limited to stationary shooting drills and has not progressed to any contact work. Williamson's absence has been one of the biggest storylines of the fantasy season, but in the end he'll conclude his third year in the league failing to play in a single contest. The hope is that Williamson's surgically repaired foot is back to 100 percent to begin 2022-23, when he'll face serious questions about his durability and risk vs. reward in season-long fantasy leagues.
