Impact With Try Murphy (hamstring and Herbert Jones (shoulder) out, Green has received increased playing time in New Orleans' forward rotation. Green is averaging 5.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 21.6 minutes across nine appearances. The veteran is also displaying impressive efficiency, posting 55.2/41.7/91.7 shooting splits.

Impact The 27-year-old forward has scored at least 20 points in four straight games and seven of nine to begin the season, helping to cover for the Pelicans' injury-depleted backcourt. Ingram is producing at the upper end of his usual range, averaging 24.1 points, 6.1 boards, 4.6 assists, 2.4 threes and 1.6 combined steals and blocks while shooting 49.4 percent from the floor, which would be his best mark since 2018-19.

Brandon Boston Jr. - Productive in second start Boston notched 14 points (4-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, five assists and one block in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 131-122 loss to the Cavaliers.
Impact While he couldn't match the 20 points he delivered Monday against the Trail Blazers, Boston was productive again in his second straight start and just the third of his NBA career. The former Clipper has stepped into a bigger role with both CJ McCollum (thigh) and Dejounte Murray (hand) on the shelf, averaging 15.5 points, 3.8 assists, 3.0 boards, 1.8 threes and 1.0 steals in 32.0 minutes over the last four contests, and Boston seems to have leapfrogged 2023 first-round pick Jordan Hawkins on the depth chart at shooting guard for the time being.

Jose Alvarado - Pops for 27 in loss to Cavs Alvarado provided 27 points (10-14 FG, 7-7 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists and three steals across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 131-122 loss to the Cavaliers.
Impact The fourth-year guard has his best scoring night of the season while making his fifth straight start with both Dejounte Murray (hand) and CJ McCollum (thigh) sidelined. Since moving into the starting five, Alvarado is averaging 16.4 points, 5.8 assists, 3.4 boards, 3.4 threes and 1.4 steals a contest, and his productive run should continue for another week or more with neither neither of the Pelicans' injured stars expected back until later in November.

Zion Williamson - Big second half in loss Williamson chipped in 29 points (9-18 FG, 11-13 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 131-122 loss to Cleveland.
Impact The 24-year-old forward missed the prior two games due to thigh and hamstring soreness, and it looked like Williamson may have returned too soon when he played only 10 minutes in the first half before heading to the locker room to get his thigh checked out. He was back on the court to begin the second half though, and he nearly single-handedly kept the Pelicans in the game by pouring in 23 points after the break. Injuries remain the biggest concern with Williamson, who has suited up for only six of New Orleans' first nine contests, but he's on pace for career-best production in rebounds (8.0 per game), assists (5.3) and blocks (1.2), and his 22.7 points a game should rise along with his career-low 45.8 percent shooting from the floor if he can stay in the lineup and get into a rhythm.
