Kelan Martin - Signs deal with PelicansMartin signed with New Orleans on Monday.
ImpactMartin averaged 5.7 points and 1.8 rebounds across 30 contests last season while playing for both the Pacers and Celtics. The Butler product is set to compete for one of New Orleans' final roster spots amongst the likes of Javonte Green, Daeqwon Plowden and Zylan Cheatham.

Javonte Smart - Signs with New OrleansSmart signed with the Pelicans on Monday.
ImpactSmart appeared in 17 games with the Bucks and Heat last year and averaged 3.0 points in 11.8 minutes per game. If he's unable to land a spot on the Pelicans' final roster, he seems likely to see action in the G League for a second consecutive year.

Joshua Primo - Spurs exercise team optionPrimo had his third-year team option for the 2023-24 season picked up by the Spurs on Monday, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
ImpactPrimo missed the last several weeks with an MCL sprain that he sustained in late September, but he's expected to make his preseason debut Tuesday against the Jazz. He'll likely take on a depth role to begin the regular season but will now be under contract with the Spurs through the 2023-24 season.

Devin Vassell - Fourth-year option picked upVassell had his fourth-year team option for the 2023-24 season picked up Monday, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
ImpactVassell served as a starter to close out last year, and he should take on a similar role once the 2022-23 season gets underway. He took a big step last season, averaging 12.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 27.3 minutes per game, so the Spurs' decision to exercise his fourth-year option isn't particularly surprising.

Devin Vassell - Slated to return TuesdayVassell (rest) will play Tuesday against the Jazz, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports.
ImpactVassell rested Sunday against the Pelicans, but he'll be back in action following a one-game absence. He'll have two more opportunities to play during the preseason prior to the Spurs' regular-season opener against the Hornets on Oct. 19.

Jakob Poeltl - Set to play TuesdayPoeltl (rest) will be available for Tuesday's preseason game against the Jazz, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports.
ImpactPoeltl got the night off for Sunday's preseason loss to the Pelicans, but both he and Devin Vassell (rest) will be back in action for the Spurs' penultimate preseason game Tuesday. Poeltl is coming off his most productive NBA season after averaging 13.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.7 blocks per game in 2021-22, so expectations are high for the big man heading into the 2022-23 campaign.

Keldon Johnson - Expected to play TuesdayJohnson (shoulder) is expected to make his preseason debut Tuesday against the Jazz, independent NBA writer Matthew Tynan reports.
ImpactJohnson dislocated his right shoulder at the end of September and was sidelined to start training camp, but barring any setbacks, it appears like he'll be full go heading into the regular season. The 2019 first-round pick has taken big steps forward in back-to-back campaigns and could emerge as San Antonio's No. 1 option this year after the trade of Dejounte Murray.
