Miles McBride - Set to reprise secondary role McBride (toe) is healthy and set to reprise a secondary role for the Knicks in 2024-25, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports. Impact McBride needed surgery on the pinky toe of his right foot in June but is full go heading into training camp. The 2021 second-round pick took on a leading role at times last season when Jalen Brunson was unavailable. McBride made 16 starts, including the postseason, and averaged 18.0 points, 3.9 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 42.6 minutes during those contests. However, Brunson is also healthy heading into training camp, plus the Knicks bolstered their backcourt by trading for Mikal Bridges this offseason, pushing McBride down the depth chart. McBride should compete with Donte DiVincenzo, Cameron Payne and rookie Tyler Kolek for backup guard minutes to begin the 2024-25 campaign.
