Impact Da Silva had a terrific showing Monday, though his stats were inflated a bit by the double overtime. The rookie has been pretty sporadic in terms of production for most of January, averaging 8.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.4 three-pointers over his last 14 outings.

Wendell Carter Jr. - Plays 36 minutes in loss Carter accumulated 14 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Monday's 125-119 double-overtime loss to the Heat.
Impact Goga Bitadze returned to action Monday, but saw 22 minutes compared to 36 for Carter. The double overtime inflated this number, however, and Bitadze was likely on some restrictions. Despite this strong showing for Carter, the presence of Bitadze will make this a position battle worth monitoring closely.

Paolo Banchero - Struggles in loss Banchero finished Monday's 125-119 double-overtime loss to the Heat with 17 points (7-21 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-3 FT), five rebounds, six assists and one steal over 44 minutes.
Impact This wasn't Banchero's best showing, obviously, but it's a great sign that he was able to log a whopping 44 minutes. The Magic are off until Thursday's game against Portland, so he should get ample rest prior to that contest. In nine games since returning from his injury, Banchero has averaged 21.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.8 three-pointers on 40.4 percent shooting from the field.

It's worth noting, however, that Jalen Suggs (back) could be cleared to return any day now, and that could limit Black's upside going forward. In 11 January outings, Black produced averages of 11.7 points, 3.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 0.6 three-pointers in 28.2 minutes.

Impact Though he had started in each of his prior 33 appearances, Bitadze was deployed as the backup center behind Wendell Carter on Monday as he made his return from a six-game absence due to a concussion. Poor free-throw shooting aside, Bitadze produced well during his time on the court, but it's unclear if he'll recapture his spot in the starting five and poach more playing time from Carter, who logged 36 minutes Monday. The Magic were without star power forward Paolo Banchero due to an oblique tear for all 33 of Bitadze's previous starts, and head coach Jamahl Mosley may prefer Carter's fit on the top unit with a now-healthy Banchero.
