LeBron James, Kevin Durant cherish first meeting in nearly five years NBA superstars LeBron James and Kevin Durant met for the first time since 2018 on Thursday night, and they didn’t disappoint.
Josh Okogie - Excellent on defense in win Okogie produced 10 points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one block over 32 minutes during Thursday's 100-95 loss to the Lakers.
Impact Okogie will often line up against the opposition's best player, but Thursday was a special exception, as there was no question that Kevin Durant and LeBron James would play one-on-one throughout the game. Instead, Okogie kept Taurean Prince and Rui Hachimura in check and occasionally tangled with Austin Reaves. Finding points will be a continuing issue for Okogie, but his defensive prowess is invaluable to the Suns.

Jordan Goodwin - Scores 14 points from bench Goodwin had 14 points (6-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-3 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two steals over 30 minutes during Thursday's 100-95 loss to the Lakers.
Impact The Suns needed help from multiple players to fill the gap left by Devin Booker (heel), and Goodwin stepped up with a seven-point first-quarter spark in the second unit. The backcourt has yet to reach full strength as it awaits Bradley Beal's (back) debut, but Goodwin should be a decent source of output behind Eric Gordon in the meantime.

Kevin Durant - Posts 39 points in All-Star battle Durant ended Thursday's 100-95 loss to the Lakers with 39 points (14-28 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 10-13 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 39 minutes.
Impact Durant and LeBron James squared off against each other for the first time since 2018, and it was a treat to watch two of the game's greats battle it out. Durant carried the team to a sizable lead through three quarters without the assistance of Devin Booker (foot) and Bradley Beal (back), but the cracks in the armor showed down the stretch as the Lakers mounted a balanced rally to take the win. Once the Suns are fully healthy, Durant won't need to put the team on his shoulders, but he did what he had to do to keep the Suns competitive in this one.
