Impact Grimes was held to six points in 32 minutes Sunday against the Pacers, but he looked like a completely different player Tuesday. He scored 12 of his 19 points from deep and also turned in his best passing night since Nov. 27 against Memphis. Grimes has now scored in double figures in five of his past seven contests, and he's reached the 20-point threshold in two of those appearances.

Impact Grimes was coming off a pair of double-digit scoring performances, but he attempted only three shots in this one. He did manage to contribute across the board, dishing out two assists for his third straight game. The Houston product is averaging 13.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists over his last six appearances.

Impact Grimes topped 20 points for just the second time this season, continuing what has been a decent stretch of games. He is inside the top 100 over the past two weeks, providing value as an efficient, low-volume scorer. There doesn't appear to be a ton of upside, at least while the Knicks are rolling out a relatively healthy roster, but he should at least be on the radar in 12-team leagues given his role.

Impact Grimes made seven straight shots at one point Wednesday as he scored a season-high 23 points. It was his first time scoring more than 16 points and just the third time he produced double-digit points this year. The 22-year-old had combined for 13 points, three rebounds and two assists in 42 minutes in six appearances all year and nearly surpassed all those totals Sunday. He averaged 17.1 minutes in 46 games last year for the Knicks but has exceeded eight minutes just twice to begin the 2022-23 campaign.

Impact Grimes will step into the lineup as a replacement for Cam Reddish, who has been ruled out with a groin injury. Grimes has struggled to make an impact on offense this season, failing to score more than five points in any of his previous six appearances. He hasn't played more than 15 minutes in any contest in 2022-23, but unless head coach Tom Thibodeau chooses to break Evan Fournier back into the rotation Sunday, look for Grimes to see his largest chunk of playing time of the season.

Impact Despite coming into the season with an element of hype, Grimes continues to disappoint. Seen as a key piece for the Knicks, he was even floated as the reason they did not enter the Donovan Mitchell sweepstakes during the preseason. To look at his role now, many could be forgiven for wondering what management was thinking. He has played a grand total of 23 minutes over the past eight games and can obviously be ignored in the majority of leagues.
