Doug McDermott - Signs with SacramentoMcDermott inked a one-year pact with the Kings on Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
ImpactMcDermott adds another three-point sniper to a Sacramento offense predicated on perimeter handoffs and movement shooting. The 32-year-old was unable to contribute at a relevant level throughout Indiana's playoff run last year, but he has an opportunity to carve out regular-season minutes off the bench if Kevin Huerter (shoulder) -- who is fully cleared but yet to log preseason action -- is eased into gameplay.

Collin Sexton - Effective during preseason winSexton compiled 16 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, two steals, a rebound and a blocked shot across 24 minutes during Tuesday's 117-114 win over the Kings.
ImpactInjuries have plagued Sexton throughout his career, but after appearing in 78 games with the Jazz last season, his best basketball should still be ahead of him. If he can improve on last year's results, we could see production reminiscent of his days with the Cavaliers, where he averaged 24.3 pointe per game in 2020.

Lauri Markkanen - Returns from rest with solid lineMarkkanen logged 21 points (4-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 10-10 FT), four rebounds and a blocked shot across 32 minutes in Tuesday's 117-114 win over the Kings.
ImpactThe Jazz went all-in with Markkanen in the offseason, signing him to a five-year, $238 million extension that will keep him in Salt Lake City for a while. Injuries plagued Markkanen somewhat last season, and it's a pattern he has replicated often during his seven-year career. He's never recorded more than 68 games during his tenures with Chicago, Cleveland and Utah, and although he's invaluable when healthy, his fantasy potential will only be fully realized if he can reverse that trend.

Keyonte George - Excels in backcourt during winGeorge produced 24 points (7-14 FG, 3-103Pt, 7-7 FT), five assists, three rebounds and a blocked shot across 29 minutes during Tuesday's 117-114 preseason win over the Kings.
ImpactGeorge assumed a lot of responsibility late in the season when Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson both went down with injuries, but the rookie responded well. Even with Sexton and Clarkson full healthy, George is projected to run with the first unit, relegating Clarkson to the sixth-man role that has become his hallmark. The second-year player still needs to improve his shot efficiency and show up more on defense, but he has all the tools to succeed alongside Sexton in the backcourt.
