Keita Bates-Diop - Questionable MondayBates-Diop (face) is questionable for Monday's game against the Bulls, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
ImpactBates-Diop will have a chance to return to the court Monday after he sat out Saturday's game against the Pelicans due to a facial laceration. If he remains out, Devin Vassell should continue to see increased run.

Willy Hernangomez - Light playing time in returnHernangomez (COVID-19 protocols) logged 12 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 124-114 loss to the Spurs and finished with four points (1-4 FG, 2-4 FT), six rebounds and two assist...
ImpactHernangomez was back in action after missing the Pelicans' last four games while in the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Prior to entering the protocols, Hernangomez was already starting to see a declining with role with top center Jonas Valanciunas recently overcoming an illness, and Hernangomez could see his minutes reduced even further if head coach Willie Green elects to deploy Jaxson Hayes as the top backup at both frontcourt spots.

Goran Dragic - Bucks emerge as suitorDragic (personal) is expected to be pursued heavily by the Bucks once the Spurs likely buy him out of his contract at some point during the upcoming week, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESP...
ImpactThough the Spurs acquired Dragic from the Raptors on Thursday, San Antonio has no intention of having him play for the team, as the main motivation for taking on his contract in the trade was in picking up a protected future first-round pick. Assuming the Spurs are able to agree to a buyout with Dragic in the coming days, the 33-year-old should settle on his next team at some point during the All-Star break. Given that the Bucks are depleted at guard following the recent trade of Donte DiVincenzo to the Kings as well as injuries to Pat Connaughton (hand) and George Hill (neck), the defending champions can offer Dragic a significant role off the bench with a contending team. Milwaukee won't be alone in its pursuit of Dragic, however, as the veteran guard is expected to command interest from several teams once he reaches free agency.

CJ McCollum - Drops 36 in second game with PelsMcCollum had 36 points (15-24 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds and five assists across 36 minutes during Saturday's 124-114 loss to the Spurs.
ImpactWhile McCollum was responsible for six of New Orleans' 15 turnovers, he carried the team offensively with his highest-scoring game of the entire season. McCollum's 11 boards also established a new season high, as did his 15 made field goals. The trade deadline acquisition is off to a solid start for the Pelicans, though they're 0-2 since adding him. New Orleans plays three times in Week 18, beginning with a matchup against the Raptors on Monday on the front end of a back-to-back.

Herbert Jones - Hits two threes in lossJones had 13 points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 39 minutes during Saturday's 124-114 loss to San Antonio.
ImpactJones' stat lines rarely jump off the page, but he's been a top-five fantasy rookie for much of the season thanks to his defensive contributions paired with a consistently heavy workload. The Alabama product is locked into a starting spot on the wing, and the departure of Josh Hart at the trade deadline should only solidify Jones' role.

Jaxson Hayes - Ineffective in 20 minutesHayes closed with four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound across 20 minutes during Saturday's 124-114 loss to San Antonio.
ImpactHayes had a nice run as a fill-in starter earlier in the month, but he's combined for just eight points, two rebounds and no defensive stats over his last two games (37 total minutes). With the Pelicans apparently shifting toward pushing for a playoff spot, Hayes' opportunities could be somewhat limited going forward. The 2019 lottery pick still has some appeal long term, but it's a bit concerning that he's more than two-and-a-half years into his career and the Pelicans are yet to view him as a starting-caliber option.
