Shut down for season Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said Monday that Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle) will be held out for the remainder of the season, Sean Highkin of BleacherReport.com reports. Impact Gilgeous-Alexander has been tending to an ankle injury over the last week or so, and the team has since elected to sit him down for the last two weeks of the regular season. The decision to hold out Gilgeous-Alexander is likely a precautionary one, as the Thunder have little to play for down the stretch now that they're firmly out of the playoff conversation. Gilgeous-Alexander concludes his fourth NBA season with averages of 24.5 points, 5.9 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 1.6 three-pointers, 1.3 steals and 0.8 blocks in 34.7 minutes per game over his 56 appearances.
