Gary Trent Jr. - Falls flat Monday Trent recorded three points (1-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal over 19 minutes during Monday's 99-91 loss to Portland.
Impact With O.G. Anunoby (leg) sidelined, Trent got a spot start Saturday against the 76ers and fared well, scoring 17 points (6-16 FG) in 33 minutes. However, Anunoby returned to action Monday, sending Trent back to a bench role. In three games off the bench this season, Trent has played 27, 36 and 19 minutes, respectively. Last year, he started 44 of 66 appearances and averaged 32.1 minutes per game. Even with Fred VanVleet out of town, it appears that Trent's reserve role will remain inconsistent.

Jakob Poeltl - Double-double against Blazers Poeltl accumulated 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block across 28 minutes during Monday's 99-91 loss to Portland.
Impact It's the first double-double of the season in four games for Poeltl, as he hadn't scored more than eight points in any of the Raptors' first three games. The 28-year-old center is cashing in his scoring opportunities, shooting 71.4 percent from the floor, but otherwise his numbers are a little below his usual pace as the team around him has a sluggish start to the season.

Pascal Siakam - Struggles with shot in loss Siakam posted 20 points (9-21 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal across 35 minutes during Monday's 99-91 loss to Portland.
Impact Despite his volume-aided scoring numbers it was a rough night for Siakam, and for the Raptors as a whole from long range -- the team went just 4-for-29 on three-point attempts. The 20 points were still a season high for the veteran forward, who is averaging just 16.0 points on 39.3 percent shooting from the floor through four games. His numbers will come around, but with Scottie Barnes emerging as the Raptors' top option, Siakam's usage could take a slight step back in 2023-24.

Scottie Barnes - Big double-double in Monday's loss Barnes accumulated 20 points (8-19 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 37 minutes during Monday's 99-91 loss to Portland.
Impact The Raptors have stumbled out of the gate, but their 1-3 record can't be pinned on Barnes. The third-year wing has scored at least 20 points in all three losses and is averaging nearly a double-double on the young campaign with 20.8 points, 9.5 boards, 5.5 assists, 2.5 blocks, 1.3 threes and 1.0 steals a night. After a somewhat stagnant sophomore season, the 2021-22 Rookie of the Year appears headed for a breakout.
