Impact VanVleet didn't have his best shooting performance and needed 19 shots just to score 19 points, but he supplied that lack of efficiency with a strong effort in other categories. Aside from the fact that he ended just two assists away from putting up another double-double, his five steals were also a season-best mark in that category.

Isaac Bonga - Back with Toronto Toronto recalled Bonga from the G League's Raptors 905 on Sunday, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

Impact Bonga recently returned from a roughly week-long absence due to an ankle injury to play 23 minutes for the 905 in Saturday's win over the Cleveland Charge. Though he's seemingly healthy again and rejoining the NBA team ahead of Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers, Bonga is unlikely to capture a rotation spot with the Raptors. He's played in just 12 NBA games all season, averaging 5.3 minutes per appearance.

Dalano Banton - Back with NBA team Toronto recalled Banton from the G League's Raptors 905 on Sunday, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

Impact Banton has been included in Toronto's rotation for most of the season, but the rookie has seemingly fallen out of favor with head coach Nick Nurse since the calendar flipped to 2022. Though Banton dazzled with 23 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in his most recent G League appearance Saturday for the 905, he could still find himself outside of the rotation as he rejoins the Raptors ahead of Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers. Nurse has favored extremely streamlined rotations of late, with Scottie Barnes typically initiating the offense on the rare occasions starting point guard Fred VanVleet checks out of the contest.

Impact Trent made his return from a bout of ankle swelling that had sidelined him for the previous six games and immediately recaptured his spot in the starting five. Though he saw a healthy amount of playing time in his return, Trent could have the upside to add a few more minutes to his total once he fully ramps up, given head coach Nick Nurse's inclination toward shorter rotations. The Raptors essentially ran a seven-man rotation Friday, with Yuta Watanabe (5:47) and Justin Champagnie (2:02) only seeing light run while some of Toronto's key players were getting breathers.

Fred VanVleet - Second straight double-double VanVleet had 21 points (6-17 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound, 12 assists, two blocks and two steals in 39 minutes during Friday's 109-105 win over the Wizards.

Impact VanVleet carried a heavy load on offense at the beginning of the season while Pascal Siakam was rehabbing from injury, but the floor general has been able to operate more as a playmaker of late now that Siakam is playing at a high level, and his distribution numbers certainly back that up. VanVleet has now dished out 12 assists in two straight games, and he's registered seven or more dimes in four of his last five contests. He's averaged 25.4 points, 7.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game since the beginning of January.

Pascal Siakam - Stuffs stat sheet Friday Siakam contributed 21 points (8-17 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in 41 minutes during Friday's 109-105 victory over Washington.

Impact Siakam has now scored at least 20 points in six of his last seven games, but he's doing more than just scoring, as his contributions have been noticeable on both ends of the court. He's averaged 23.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 2.3 steals per game in that seven-game span, a stretch in which he's also recorded four double-doubles.

Impact Barnes enjoyed a strong start to the season, but it seemed as if he had hit a rookie wall of late, surpassing the 15-point mark just once since Dec. 18 before this outing against Washington. The first-year forward out of Florida State continues to be one of the most productive rookies in the league, but his numbers are trending in the wrong direction, and he's averaged just 14.0 points per game since the beginning of December.
