Gary Trent Jr. - Ruled out Monday Trent (groin) has been ruled out of Monday's game against the Nuggets, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Impact Trent was a late addition to the injury report Monday, but it didn't take long for the Raptors to rule him out completely of the matchup against the reigning NBA champions. Trent's absence should open up playing time for the likes of Gradey Dick and Javon Freeman-Liberty, but his absence will be felt. The sharpshooter is averaging 17.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals in 33.3 minutes over nine appearances since the All-Star break. His next chance to play will come against the Pistons on Wednesday.

Impact The Raptors are expected to be very shorthanded Monday, as Boucher joins Gary Trent (groin) and Immanuel Quickley (hip) on the sidelines. Kelly Olynyk will likely play significant minutes, while Jalen McDaniels could step into a larger role as well.

Impact Quickley is getting the night off to rehab his hip injury after playing an average of 42.0 minutes in his previous two games. Chris Boucher (knee) and Gary Trent (groin) are also out, so the Raptors will need a committee approach to soak up all of these minutes. Javon Freeman-Liberty is a candidate to start in Quickley's absence.

Impact Quickley wasn't listed on the initial injury report for Monday but is now in danger of missing his first game since Jan. 30. The former Knick has been on a roll since the All-Star break, as he's averaging 21.8 points, 8.1 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 36.9 minutes over his last nine appearances.

Impact Barrett was a late scratch ahead of Saturday's game in Portland due to an aliment and was initially listed as questionable for Monday. However, he appears to be trending in the right direction and will likely return to action versus Denver, but Immanuel Quickley (hip) has been added to the injury report, joining Bruce Brown (knee) as questionable.

Impact Barrett was a late scratch from Saturday's game in Portland due to an illness and is now in danger of missing his second straight. Grady Dick, who replaced him in the starting lineup Saturday, would presumably be in line to do so again if Barrett is ultimately unable to get the green light. More light should be shed on his status closer to game time.

Impact Boucher provided much-needed size and agility to the interior during the loss. Recently, he has played well off the bench during Scottie Barnes' (hand) absence but he has also dealt with his own injuries, minimizing what would have otherwise been golden opportunities with Barnes and Jakob Poeltl (finger) absent. Considering his average of 27.5 minutes over the past two games, Boucher's increased usage should continue if he can stay healthy.

Gradey Dick - Moves to starting unit Dick moved into the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers after RJ Barrett (illness) was announced as a late scratch.
Impact Dick will make just the second start of his NBA career here. In the previous one, he finished with 11 points, two assists and a steal while going 1-for-6 from three-point range. The rookie out of Kansas has been playing well of late, though, scoring in double digits in five of his last seven appearances off the bench while hitting 42.1 percent of his threes in that span.
