Fred VanVleet - Playing, starting SaturdayVanVleet (knee) is available and will start against the Hawks, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ImpactIt appears VanVleet will play after all despite head coach Nick Nurse's previous comment regarding his availability. Expectations should be tempered given his struggles against Charlotte and the fact that he isn't feeling 100 percent, but it's still a good sign that he's going to be able to play Saturday. VanVleet is averaging 21.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.6 steals over 38.2 minutes per game this season.

Fred VanVleet - Likely to sit SaturdayRaptors head coach Nick Nurse said VanVleet (knee) is unlikely to play Saturday against the Hawks, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ImpactVanVleet managed to play through knee soreness during Friday's loss to the Hornets, but it sounds like he probably won't be available for the second half of Toronto's back-to-back set. He hasn't officially been ruled out yet, but Nurse's statement is a pretty good indicator that he won't play. If he's ultimately ruled out, Dalano Banton and Malachi Flynn should see increased run in the Raptors' backcourt.

Pascal Siakam - Will play SaturdaySiakam (illness) is available for Saturday's game against the Hawks, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ImpactSiakam still isn't feeling 100 percent due to flu-like symptoms that caused him to land on the injury report, but it appears that he feels good enough to play Saturday against Atlanta. The 27-year-old is averaging 21.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.3 steals in 37.6 minutes per game this season.

Nick Richards - Questionable against DetroitRichards (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Pistons.
ImpactRichards missed Friday's game against Toronto with right foot soreness, but he'll have a chance to return Sunday. He's been a fringe part of the rotation recently, so his status shouldn't affect much.

Jalen McDaniels - Doubtful SundayMcDaniels (ankle) is doubtful for Sunday's game against Detroit.
ImpactMcDaniels appears to be trending toward a 16th consecutive absence due to his left ankle sprain. He was unable to practice Wednesday, and it's not yet clear when he'll be able to return.

Pascal Siakam - Questionable against AtlantaSiakam is questionable for Saturday's game against Atlanta due to a non-COVID illness, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.
ImpactSiakam served in his usual starting role during Friday's loss to Charlotte, and he logged eight points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal in 27 minutes. If he's unavailable for the second half of the back-to-back set, Precious Achiuwa, Khem Birch and Thaddeus Young should see increased roles.

Fred VanVleet - Questionable SaturdayVanVleet (knee) is questionable for Saturday's game against Atlanta, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.
ImpactVanVleet was able to play through knee soreness during Friday's loss to the Hornets, but he had lackluster results. He's indicated that his knee isn't feeling as well as he had hoped following the All-Star break, so it's very possible that the Raptors will choose to give VanVleet a night off for the second half of the back-to-back set. If he's held out, Dalano Banton and Malachi Flynn should see increased run.
