Impact Young dished a team-high nine assists during Monday's loss, but he struggled from the field and gave away a game-high nine turnovers. Young will be the Hawks' primary ball handler this season after Dejounte Murray was traded to the Pelicans in late June, so there will be some games where the former is leading Atlanta in both assists and turnovers as he gets Jalen Johnson, Zaccharie Risacher and his other teammates involved on offense. Young is looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2023-24 campaign, during which he missed 23 regular-season games after the All-Star break due to a torn tendon in his left fifth finger.
