Impact With Brandon Ingram (ankle) missing his second game in a row, Murphy stepped into a bigger spotlight and ended up turning in a career-best performance, despite sitting out the final 10 and a half minutes of the fourth quarter due to the blowout. In so doing, Murphy became the fourth NBA player this season to produce 40 points in fewer than 30 minutes played. Even if Ingram continues to miss time, Murphy won't be able to replicate the performance he delivered Sunday, but the second-year wing has nonetheless established himself as a must-roster option in just about every league for the time being. In his five games since moving back into the starting five, Murphy is contributing across the board with averages of 20.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 three-pointers, 2.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals in 36.8 minutes, all while shooting 53 percent from the field and 92.9 percent from the free-throw line.
