Agrees to four-year extension Murphy (hamstring) and the Pelicans agreed to a four-year, $112 million extension Monday, NBA writer Marc Stein reports. Impact Murphy is currently recovering from a hamstring strain and is questionable for Opening Night on Wednesday against the Bulls. Locking him up to a new contract was seemingly a no-brainer for the franchise, as Murphy's floor spacing will be crucial to their success. During the 2023-24 regular season, Murphy made 57 appearances with averages of 14.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 3.0 three-pointers.
