Suffers ankle injury Azubuike sustained an ankle injury during Thursday's G League game against the Texas Legends, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Impact Azubuike was assigned to the Salt Lake City Stars on Thursday, and he appeared to dislocate his ankle before it was re-set by the training staff late in the contest. The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but the 22-year-old could be forced to miss some time. He was on a double-double in the game before getting injured, with 16 points (7-12 FG, 1-1 FT), and 17 rebounds.

Impact Azubuike had been a forgotten man for Utah since med-February, as he sat out six of the team's past eight contests and totaled only 15 minutes during the two games in which he played. The second-year center got more opportunity against Portland thanks to a lopsided Jazz victory, and he fared decently with a 3-for-3 line from the field and three boards. Azubuike has looked good -- especially as a rebounder and shot-blocker -- when given adequate playing time this season, but there simply isn't much room for him to play behind All-Star Rudy Gobert and backup center Hassan Whiteside.
