ImpactHead coach Jason Kidd announced before the 8 p.m. ET tip-off that Thompson would play under a minutes' restriction, and that's precisely what happened, as the sharpshooter logged less than 20 minutes and didn't step on the court in the second half. Thompson will be the Mavericks' third option on offense once the regular season begins with a matchup against the Spurs on Oct. 24, and that new role in Dallas should limit his fantasy upside considerably.
