Jalen Smith - Scratched for ThursdaySmith was a late scratch for Thursday's game against the Bucks due to a sore lower back.
ImpactThe Pacers had an empty injury report heading into Thursday, but they scratched Smith after tipoff started. Isaiah Jackson could potentially pick up the backup center minutes with this news.

Game Recap: Indiana Pacers Use Fourth Quarter Run To Pull Away for Win Over Utah Jazz
1 year ago
Kelly Olynyk - Nearly fouls outOlynyk contributed four points (2-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), five rebounds and one steal across 21 minutes during Wednesday's 134-118 loss to Indiana.
ImpactDespite the absence of Walker Kessler (elbow), Olynyk didn't see an uptick in playing time Wednesday. However, this could be attributed to the veteran big man picking up five fouls in Utah's loss. Even with Kessler out multiple weeks, Olynyk still appears set to be one of the Jazz's primary backups in the frontcourt.

Jalen Smith - Double-double off benchSmith recorded 16 points (5-8 FG, 6-7 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals across 25 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 134-118 win over the Jazz.
ImpactThe 23-year-old recorded his first double-double of the season after he produced a career-high seven over 68 games in 2022-23. Smith has had a very impressive beginning to the season as the Pacers' top big man on the second unit, and while he almost certainly won't be able to keep up his 71.7 percent shooting from the floor and 66.7 percent shooting from three-point range (8-for-12), he's providing some surprising fantasy value in deep formats.

Aaron Nesmith - Leading scorer in win over UtahNesmith had 24 points (9-13 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two steals in 30 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 134-118 win over the Jazz.
ImpactThree different Pacers scored more than 20 points on the night but it was Nesmith who led the team, and he also tied Bennedict Mathurin for the lead in three-pointers. Nesmith has been locked in to begin the season, shooting 54.4 percent from the floor and 48.6 percent from beyond the arc, but Indiana's crowded roster could prevent the 24-year-old from getting the minutes he'd need to make a serious push for the Sixth Man of the Year Award despite his excellent start.

Bennedict Mathurin - Just misses double-doubleMathurin had 22 points (9-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt), nine rebounds, four assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Wednesday's 134-118 win over the Jazz.
ImpactThe 22 points and four three-pointers were a season high for Mathurin, while the second-year guard fell one board shy of his first double-double of 2023-24. After a strong rookie campaign, the 21-year-old has had a little trouble getting going to kick off his sophomore season with the Pacers, scoring 10 points or less in four of eight games, but Wednesday's big performance could be a sign he's heating up.

Myles Turner - Hits for 22 in big winTurner amassed 22 points (8-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-8 FT), six rebounds and three blocks over 23 minutes during Wednesday's 134-118 win over the Jazz.
ImpactThe 27-year-old center did most of his damage in the first half, dropping 20 of his points before the break to help soften up Utah's defense for a barrage of three-pointers from his teammates. Turner has scored at least 20 points in four of eight games to begin the season, and his 8.5 boards a game would be a career high if he can maintain that pace.
