Bradley Beal - Strong run continues Beal totaled 27 points (11-24 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals across 37 minutes during Friday's 114-107 loss to the Hawks.
Impact Beal continues to play well at the right time, scoring at least 20 points for the fifth straight game. In a season riddled with injury-related absences, Beal is starting to look more like the player managers had been hoping for on draft day. For some reason, he still refuses to score from the perimeter, having connected on a total of just 10 three-pointers in the last nine games.

Daniel Gafford - Solid performance Friday Gafford provided 13 points (6-7 FG, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one block in 29 minutes during Friday's 114-107 loss to Atlanta.
Impact Gafford did just what was required in the loss, scoring efficiently, grabbing a handful of rebounds and chipping in on the defensive end. While the minutes were encouraging, Gafford did benefit from the fact Kristaps Porzingis was in early foul trouble. He also remained on the bench to close the game, indicating the team is still not comfortable running with him down the stretch. He can be rostered in standard formats, but the uncertainty surrounding his nightly role does raise a few questions.

Monte Morris - Has eight assists in starting role Morris posted six points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals across 26 minutes during Friday's 114-107 loss to the Hawks.
Impact Morris moved back into the starting lineup, tallying eight assists to go with a pair of steals. Despite the promotion, Morris played 26 minutes compared with 30 minutes for Delon Wright. While the pair could be headed for a timeshare, Wright appears to be the preferred option, thanks largely to his upside on the defensive end. With that said, Morris can also be considered by anyone desperate for a third-string fantasy point guard.

Impact Wright had started seven consecutive games for Washington while Monte Morris was sidelined by a back issue and then on a minutes restriction in his first game back. However, Morris seems slated for additional action Friday with his move into the starting five, suggesting that Wright's role could be slightly scaled back. Wright is averaging 6.7 points 3.4 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals over 22.0 minutes per game in 28 appearances off the bench this season.

Impact Morris played 16 minutes off the bench in his return from a six-game absence Wednesday, but he'll rejoin the starters Friday, pushing Delon Wright to the pine. Morris will presumably handle a full workload, and over his past 10 games, he's averaged 10.4 points, 4.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 26.6 minutes.

Whether the decision to keep Morris on the second unit was designed to manage his minutes may not be clear until the next few games, as it's possible that Unseld has elected to roll with Delon Wright as the team's starting point guard moving forward. Even if Wright retains a spot on the top unit, he may not be able to regularly double Morris up in minutes, as was the case Wednesday.
