Kyle Kuzma - Lands team-high 22 points Kuzma had 22 points (7-17 FG, 3-11 3PT, 5-9 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Wednesday's preseason victory over the Raptors.
Impact Kuzma led the Wizards with 22 points, albeit on a lot of shots from both the field and the stripe. Elite percentages are not a strength when it comes to Kuzma's overall fantasy game, preferring instead to amass his points based on quantity. Despite some holes in his skill set, Kuzma should be able to flirt with top-100 value this season, at least until the Wizards lean into their youth come February.

Alex Sarr - Shifts to center Friday Sarr amassed seven points (2-5 FG, 2-3 3PT, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and one block in 21 minutes during Friday's 113-95 preseason win over Toronto.
Impact Sarr shifted to center with Jonas Valanciunas moving back to the bench. Despite having the height to fill the center role, Sarr is yet to fully develop physically, meaning the power forward spot is likely his preferred position. There is no indication this was anything other than a preseason experiment, meaning Sarr should begin the regular season at the four.

Jordan Poole - Rough shooting night Friday Poole managed three points (1-7 FG, 0-6 3PT, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 22 minutes during Friday's preseason win over the Raptors.
Impact Poole was ice cold from the floor, missing all six of his three-point attempts. He is slated to be the starting point guard to open the season, providing him a relatively safe floor, assuming you can land him in the eighth or ninth round of drafts. The scoring could be inconsistent, as we saw here, but he should have a long leash given the Wizards are unlikely to prioritize winning again this season.

Impact Valanciunas had started the previous two preseason games alongside Alex Sarr in the frontcourt, but the rookie will start at center in this game, so Valanciunas will head to the bench, and it's uncertain if he'll see the court at all. Kyshawn George will start in Valanciunas' place.

Impact George was impressive on both ends of the floor, dropping a team-high 14 points to go with four defensive stats. Taken with the 24th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, George is an intriguing, yet largely unproven prospect. While this was an encouraging performance, it's hard to envisage him seeing enough minutes to warrant fantasy attention, at least to begin the season.

Corey Kispert - Scores team-high 14 points in loss Kispert produced 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3PT, 2-2 FT), two assists and one rebound in 20 minutes during Wednesday's preseason loss to the Knicks.
Impact Kispert remained on the bench with Bilal Coulibaly maintaining his spot in the starting lineup. Despite the bench role, Kispert led the Wizards with 14 points, providing a scoring punch in the second unit, much like he did last season. Although his upside is limited, Kispert is a player to monitor in standard formats, particularly as a streaming consideration for both points and threes.

Alex Sarr - Strong performance again Wednesday Sarr compiled 12 points (5-14 FG, 2-6 3PT), nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 117-94 preseason loss to the Knicks.
Impact Sarr put together another impressive performance, albeit with some inefficient shooting. Across two preseason contests, he has been the standout player for Washington, despite two heavy losses. Sarr should be viewed as a viable late-round target, given his presumed role as the starting power forward.
