Johnny Davis - Contributes in starting lineup Davis posted seven points (3-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three assists and one rebound over 21 minutes in Friday's 108-102 loss to Portland.
Impact Davis got the starting nod Friday with Kyle Kuzma (ankle) inactive, earning his third start of the year. Davis shot a perfect mark from the field while handing out a trio of assists and ending three points shy of the double-digit mark in just over 20 minutes of action. Over three starts this season, Davis has averaged 5.7 points, 2.0 assists and 1.3 rebounds per contest.

Impact Holmes was questionable for Friday's matchup, and he'll be forced to miss a fifth consecutive game due to a left big toe contusion. Tristan Vukcevic and Eugene Omoruyi should continue to see increased playing time against Portland, while Holmes' next chance to suit up will be Sunday against the Raptors.

Jared Butler - Inks new deal Butler signed a three-year deal with the Wizards on Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Impact A 2021 second-round pick, Butler played sporadically over his first two seasons with Utah and Oklahoma City, respectively. He inked a two-way contract with the Wizards in July of 2023 and wasn't seeing much time with the NBA squad until a rash of injuries hit Washington in mid-March. Butler has appeared in 13 straight games, averaging 7.9 points, 4.5 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 21.2 minutes per game during that stretch. He should continue to see plenty of playing time over the final week of the regular season.

Deni Avdija - Cleared to play Avdija (migraine) is available for Friday's game versus the Trail Blazers.
Impact Avdija has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday after missing Washington's previous contest with a migraine. The 22-year-old forward is averaging 17.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 35.1 minutes across his last 10 appearances.

Impact His five threes Wednesday was the ninth time this season Poole has reached that mark. Since being reinserted into the starting lineup March 16, Poole is averaging 20.4 points on 44.1 percent shooting, 3.3 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.1 steals over 32.8 minutes per game.

Impact Vukcevic got the start Wednesday due to Richaun Holmes (toe) and Marvin Bagley (knee) ruled out. While Vukcevic didn't see as much playing time as he did Tuesday against the Bucks, he managed to score in double digits for the third straight game. With Bagley considered week-to-week and Holmes still dealing with his injury, Vukcevic could be the starting center for the Wizards for the rest of the regular season.
