Mikal Bridges - Tallies three steals in 31 minutesBridges accumulated 16 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3PT, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and three steals in 31 minutes during Wednesday's preseason win over Washington.
ImpactFollowing his trade to New York, the hope is that Bridges will be able to return to being a top-50 fantasy asset this season. This will undoubtedly start on the defensive end, an element of his game that has taken a hit over the past two years. His three steals Wednesday were a great start, coupled with the fact that he played 31 minutes in what was a comfortable preseason victory.

Josh Hart - Fails to score in preseason winHart scored zero points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3PT) but added six rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block in 25 minutes during Wednesday's preseason victory over the Wizards.
ImpactAs expected, Hart remained in the starting lineup Wednesday, a move that was facilitated following the Julius Randle trade. Hart was a real difference-maker down the stretch last season, taking advantage of injuries to other players. Although he is slated to begin the season as a starter, managers should temper their expectations, especially on the offensive end. With that said, his ability to grab out-of-position rebounds and compile assists and defensive stats make him a viable target in the later rounds of drafts.

Tyler Kolek - Pops for 15 points WednesdayKolek compiled 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3PT, 2-2 FT), five assists, two rebounds and two steals in 17 minutes during Wednesday's 117-94 win over the Wizards.
ImpactKolek continues to push his claim for regular season minutes, putting together another strong performance. Taken at pick 34 in the 2024 NBA Draft, Kolek will have to earn his spot in the rotation, competing with Cameron Payne for backup point guard minutes behind Jalen Brunson. Despite being undersized, Kolek has an intriguing offensive skillset, something that could at least put him in the discussion for playing time on opening night.

Kyshawn George - Strong two-way production in lossGeorge finished with 14 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 3PT, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three blocks, one assist and one steal in 21 minutes during Wednesday's preseason loss to New York.
ImpactGeorge was impressive on both ends of the floor, dropping a team-high 14 points to go with four defensive stats. Taken with the 24th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, George is an intriguing, yet largely unproven prospect. While this was an encouraging performance, it's hard to envisage him seeing enough minutes to warrant fantasy attention, at least to begin the season.
OCTOBER 10โ€ขROTOWIRE
Corey Kispert - Scores team-high 14 points in lossKispert produced 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3PT, 2-2 FT), two assists and one rebound in 20 minutes during Wednesday's preseason loss to the Knicks.
ImpactKispert remained on the bench with Bilal Coulibaly maintaining his spot in the starting lineup. Despite the bench role, Kispert led the Wizards with 14 points, providing a scoring punch in the second unit, much like he did last season. Although his upside is limited, Kispert is a player to monitor in standard formats, particularly as a streaming consideration for both points and threes.
OCTOBER 10โ€ขROTOWIRE
Alex Sarr - Strong performance again WednesdaySarr compiled 12 points (5-14 FG, 2-6 3PT), nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 117-94 preseason loss to the Knicks.
ImpactSarr put together another impressive performance, albeit with some inefficient shooting. Across two preseason contests, he has been the standout player for Washington, despite two heavy losses. Sarr should be viewed as a viable late-round target, given his presumed role as the starting power forward.
