Impact Carter is officially listed as questionable Friday after missing Orlando's previous contest with right knee soreness. However, the 24-year-old big man's participation in shootaround is a good sign of his availability against the Knicks.

Impact Carter has gone four straight games without a double-double, but the big man continues to deliver strong numbers every time he steps on the court. Even though Carter holds a secondary role in Orlando's offensive scheme, he has scored in double digits in all but one of the team's seven games since the end of the All-Star break while grabbing at least seven boards in five of those appearances.

Impact Carter is off to a strong start in March after a relatively quiet February. During those 12 games, he averaged 12.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 three-pointers, and his defense took a step back with 0.3 blocks and 0.3 steals.

Impact Carter was tasked with replacing Paolo Banchero at power forward, a move that resulted in Goga Bitadze getting a spot start at center, and Carter performed well, racking up his second consecutive double-double -- and third of the month. Even though he's not going to anchor the team offensively, Carter has been a steady contributor for the Magic since returning to the starting lineup in mid-January, averaging 12.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game across his last 16 appearances.

Impact Carter didn't get many offensive touches in what turned out to be a relatively low-scoring affair, but he made the most of his opportunities, missing just two shots from the field and recording his first double-double since Feb. 2. Carter is firmly entrenched as Orlando's starting center, but it's no secret that he holds a secondary role on offense, and his numbers back that up. He's averaging 12.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 0.2 blocks per game since the beginning of February.

Impact The 24-year-old center produced at least 20 points for the first time since Jan. 26, and the third time this season. Since moving into the starting lineup 12 games ago, Carter is averaging 13.1 points, 6.7 boards, 1.6 assists and 1,3 threes while shooting 56.3 percent from the floor.

Carter and starter Goga Bitadze (29 minutes) ended up playing the whole game at center, resulting in Moritz Wagner dropping out of the rotation. The Magic seem to like the shot-blocking presence that Bitadze brings on the top unit, and though he could continue to start for the time being, Carter may eventually end up working his way into a more even split of the minutes with Bitadze, if not the larger portion of a timeshare.
