Inks four-year extension Terrell agreed to a four-year, $81 million contract extension with the Falcons on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Impact The deal includes $65.8 million guaranteed, and makes Terrell the second-highest paid corner on a per-year basis at $20.25 million behind Packers' Jaire Alexander, per Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com. Terrell, who the Falcons took 16th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, had his best season in 2021, when he earned Second-Team All-Pro honors after registering 81 tackles (52 solo), including 1.0 sacks, 16 passes defended, three interceptions and one forced fumble across 16 regular-season games. He hasn't recorded an interception over the last two seasons, but he has been one of the most effective corners in the league since being drafted. Terrell is part of an Atlanta defense that includes All-Pro safeties Jessie Bates and Justin Simmons, as well as four-time Pro Bowl edge rusher Matthew Judon.
