Impact Cooper and CeeDee Lamb (ankle) both entered the weekend with designations after practicing on a limited basis Friday, but both wideouts were apparently able to do enough at the team's Saturday walk-through session to leave Dallas optimistic that its top two pass catchers will be ready to go. Fantasy managers will still want to confirm Lamb avoids the Cowboys' inactive list, which will be released 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m ET kickoff. Assuming he suits up, Cooper isn't expected to face any limitations with his snap count.

Of the two, Cooper actually looks to be in better health, as he turned in a trio of limited practices this week, while Lamb sat out Wednesday before being listed as a limited participant Thursday and Friday. Assuming he suits up Sunday, Cooper should benefit from the return of Dak Prescott, who sat out last week's win over the Vikings with a calf strain. Cooper was still able to produce in Week 8 with Cooper Rush under center, delivering an 8-122-1 receiving line on 13 targets.

Impact Prior to the session, Cooper was doing resistance training alongside CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and Michael Gallup (IR/calf) with Cowboys trainers, according to Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. After logging a second straight capped session, Cooper discussed his hamstring issue with Machota, stating, "It's getting better every day. I think it will be alright for the game (Sunday against the Broncos)." Cooper will have one more opportunity to put in a full practice Friday before the team potentially gives him a Week 9 designation or clears him outright for game action.

Impact Coach Mike McCarthy relayed that the Cowboys will hold a shorter Wednesday practice than usual after playing Sunday evening, so it's possible that Cooper's looming limitations could be maintenance-related. What the wideout is able to do during Thursday's session should therefore provide added clarity with regard to his Week 9 playing prospects. Meanwhile, the status of fellow WR Michael Gallup (calf/IR-R) for Sunday's game against the Broncos has yet to be determined.

Impact Not having a top-tier quarterback like Dak Prescott (calf) healthy would normally be a huge loss for a team's receiving corps, but it turned out to be a boon for Cooper in this situation. It was the veteran wideout's first game with 100-plus yards and a touchdown since Week 1. This is a clear case of correlation not equaling causation, as Prescott obviously makes the entire Cowboys offense better as a whole. CeeDee Lamb's leap in his sophomore year is the main factor cutting into Cooper's volume this year, but both receivers were able to eat Sunday. Prescott has a good shot to return next week in a home tilt against the Broncos.
