Underwhelming against Steelers St. Brown caught two of five targets for 12 yards during Saturday's 26-20 preseason loss to the Steelers. Impact After having an impressive offseason, training camp and preseason opener, St. Brown's performance Saturday was somewhat underwhelming. While many of the team's first-half offensive struggles can probably be blamed on QB Tim Boyle, it was St. Brown's fault on at least one incompletion and it's possible multiple drops could be attributed to the USC product. However, St. Brown was targeted five times on his 11 offensive snaps and that was with projected starter Breshad Perriman also on the field. Even if St. Brown loses some snaps to Kalif Raymond and/or Quintez Cephus to some extent early on during the regular season, the rookie seems primed to have a significant offensive role for the Lions from the jump.
