Will return to team soon Brown (illness) is expected to rejoin the Buccaneers on Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. "He'll be back [Thursday] no matter what," head coach Bruce Arians said Wednesday.... Impact The Buccaneers placed Brown on the reserve/COVID-19 list Sept. 22 due to a positive test, meaning Thursday actually will be the ninth day that he's spent away from the team. If Arians believes Brown will return when he's cleared league protocols, the wide receiver may not be back on the field until Friday rather than Thursday. No matter when Brown is in the fold, though, he may not be a lock to immediately take back a spot among Tampa Bay's top three wide receivers along with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. If the Buccaneers decide Brown needs more time to ramp up and hold him out this weekend, Tyler Johnson would be the likely beneficiary with Scotty Miller (toe) now on injured reserve.
