Impact Maulet was productive during Saturday's preseason opener against Seattle, racking up five solo tackles, including two tackles for losses. However, it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Saturday's preseason matchup against Jacksonville following his ankle injury. If Maulet is back to full health in time for the regular season, he's not expected to take on a starting role but should be able to earn increased playing time in 2022 since Joe Haden is no longer with the team.

Signs two-year deal with Pittsburgh The Steelers re-signed Maulet to a two-year deal on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Maulet appeared in 16 games for the Steelers in 2021, totaling 47 tackles (38 solo), one pass deflection and one forced fumble. The journeyman cornerback played 20-plus defensive snaps 10 times, but he saw his playing time significantly reduced when Joe Haden returned Week 15 following a four-game absence due to a foot injury.
