Goose egg in finale Burns didn't make a tackle in Sunday's 41-17 loss to the Buccaneers. Impact Burns played over 75 percent of Carolina's defensive snaps but was blanked in the tackle column. Although it was an anti-climactic end to his campaign, Burns nonetheless enjoyed another impressive season, finishing with 50 tackles, nine sacks and two fumbles forced while playing all 17 games. That production helped earn him his first Pro Bowl selection, and with 25.5 sacks over his first three years in the league, the 23-year-old could aim for a lucrative extension prior to 2022. Whether that transpires or not, Burns is an ascending talent and should be a key figure in the Panthers' defensive plans going forward.
