Impact The feel-good story of Newton's return to Carolina appeared well on its way to adding another chapter early in Sunday's contest, as the veteran completed a 64-yard pass to D.J. Moore and finished off the drive with a one-yard rushing touchdown three plays later. However, those would prove to be the highlights of the afternoon for both Newton and the Panthers, as he completed just four more passes and threw the pair of picks in his own territory, the second one leading to a Dolphins touchdown. Although Newton showed some flashes in a Week 11 loss to Washington, his first start since last season, Sunday naturally represented a step back. Given the context under which Newton was brought on earlier in November and the fact Walker didn't really fare any better leading the offense, the former is expected to be back under center for a Week 14 divisional matchup against the Falcons.
