Impact Tackling opportunities were limited with the Panthers controlling possession for most of the game, but Thompson tied Donte Jackson for the team lead in the category. He also helped put pressure on rookie quarterback Davis Mills, though Thompson wasn't directly involved on any of the Panthers' four sacks. Thompson's one of the top performers on a defense that has been among the best in the league in the early going.
