Impact Steele is averaging just 3.0 yards over his first nine NFL carries, but the undrafted rookie out of UCLA could nonetheless be headed for an expanded role in the offense with Isiah Pacheco (fibula/ankle) expected to land on injured reserve, according to Charles Goldman of AToZSports.com. Along with Steele, Samaje Perine -- who played nine of 65 snaps in Week 2 -- should take on extra work, though Kansas City may prefer to limit Perine to a passing-down role. The team will almost certainly add another running back or two to the 53-man roster before Sunday's game in Atlanta to help replace Pacheco, making it difficult to project what Steele's workload might look like.
