Preparing for Saturday's start Keenum is a candidate to start Saturday's game against the Raiders with Baker Mayfield added to the reserve/COVID-19 list, Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Impact Mayfield, who is asymptomatic, per Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal, can still produce two negative tests before Saturday's game and be part of the lineup, but the Browns are preparing Keenum to start. He filled in for Mayfield earlier this season, directing the team to a 17-10 win over Denver in a Thursday game Oct. 21. While the Browns have been hit hard by a COVID outbreak and several skill players are impacted, Keenum will have one tool that wasn't available to him against the Broncos -- running back Nick Chubb. Cleveland's offense starts with its ground game, and Chubb is one of the best in the NFL. Countering that is two starting lineman -- left tackle Jedrick Wills and right guard Wyatt Teller -- are among the players that were added to the reserve/COVID-19 list.
