Roschon Johnson - Not playing in Week 7 Johnson (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Raiders.

Impact Johnson has been in the concussion protocol for more than two weeks since being diagnosed with a head injury Thursday, Oct. 5 against the Commanders. He's yet to practice in the meantime, giving no indication of making progress through any of the five phases. With Johnson sidelined again and Khalil Herbert (ankle) on injured reserve, the Bears backfield will be composed of D'Onta Foreman, Travis Homer and Darrynton Evans in Week 7.

Justin Fields - Won't play Sunday Fields (thumb) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Impact After dislocating the thumb in his right throwing hand this past Sunday against the Vikings, Fields was deemed doubtful for Week 7 action by head coach Matt Eberflus, per Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic. Fields will need to regain his typical grip strength in order to be cleared for game action, and Ebeflus told Fishbain on Friday that "he's improving. ... It's trending in the right direction. He'll be week to week, but we'll know more Monday." With Fields out Sunday, undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent is the top candidate to get the start at quarterback over veteran Nathan Peterman.

Impact This essentially has been the expectation since Monday when coach Matt Eberflus referred to Justin Fields (thumb) as being doubtful. Fields then missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, moving Bagent one step closer to his first NFL start, though Eberflus hasn't confirmed it would be the rookie filling in for Fields rather than journeyman Nathan Peterman. The Bears opened the season with Peterman as their backup QB before switching to Bagent at the beginning of October. The undrafted rookie then committed two turnovers filling in for Fields during Sunday's 19-13 loss to Minnesota, though he also had a rushing TD and completed 10 of his 14 passes (for 83 yards).

Impact After being limited at practice Wednesday, Ngakoue was able to participate in full Thursday and looks to be on track to play in Week 7. He'll be one of Chicago's top pass rushers Sunday when the Bears host a sputtering Las Vegas offense.

Impact Wright may have suffered a shoulder injury during the Bears' Week 6 loss to the Vikings, as he popped up on the team's injury report Wednesday. Chicago's rookie tackle could be trending in the wrong direction to play this coming Sunday against the Raiders, going from limited participation in Wednesday's practice to non-participant status Thursday.

Impact Homer thus stands to return this Sunday against Las Vegas after missing one game with a hamstring injury. Impact Jackson left last week's contest against Tampa Bay with a foot injury, but at the time, the issue wasn't considered to be serious by head coach Matt Eberflus. The 29-year-old went from limited participation in Wednesday's practice to a DNP on Thursday, and it seems as if his availability for Sunday's game against Las Vegas could be up in the air.

Impact Coach Matt Eberflus said Monday that he considers Fields doubtful for Sunday's game against the Raiders. The Bears haven't announced whether Tyson Bagent or Nathan Peterman will start if Fields is out this week, though Bagent is the favorite after leapfrogging Peterman on the depth chart at the beginning of the month. Bagent struggled in Sunday's 19-13 loss to Minnesota, however, throwing an interception and having a fumble returned for a touchdown by the defense.
