Impact Rumph suffered a foot injury in the Chargers' preseason matchup with the Seahawks on Aug. 12 and he'll now be forced to miss the 2024 season as a result. The linebacker will now shift his focus to being ready to go for training camp in 2025.

Impact Rumph played 19 snaps (12 on defense, seven on special teams) in Saturday's contest. Rumph is expected to "miss some time," but when he will return to practice remains unclear. The 2021 fourth-rounder out of Duke finished with five tackles (four solo) across six regular-season games for the Chargers in 2023.

Impact Rumph underwent surgery in November after suffering a broken foot, but he now appears to be fully healthy. The 25-year-old is competing with the likes of Ty Shelby and Bud Dupree for a depth role at outside linebacker with Los Angeles in 2024.

While the exact severity of his injury isn't yet clear, it's concerning that he was in a walking boot after the game. His status for next Sunday's game against Green Bay will likely come into focus based on his status in practice this week.
