Impact Williamson was likely elevated to Atlanta's active roster in response to fellow cornerback Avery Williams (hamstring) being ruled out for Week 7. According to Rothstein, Williamson could potentially have a role defensively with Richie Grant and Darren Hall defending the slot. Impact The Giants selected Williamson with a seventh-round choice in April's draft, but the Minnesota product never made an appearance for Big Blue.
