Day-to-day with hamstring injury Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Wednesday that Njoku (hamstring) won't practice and is considered day-to-day, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Impact Njoku will have two more opportunities to increase his activity level at practice head of Sunday's matchup against Kansas City. The starting tight end has scored three touchdowns in his last two appearances, with a total of 16 catches for 94 yards (on 30 targets) in those contests. If he were to miss any time, Jordan Akins would figure to start at tight end for the Browns.

Designated for return The Browns announced Wednesday that Hall (knee) has been designated for return from IR.
Impact Hall now has a 21-day window wherein he can be monitored at practice without counting against the 53-man roster. The rookie second-round pick has been sidelined due to a knee injury since Week 9. In four appearances this season, Hall has totaled five tackles (two solo).

Impact The safety has now recorded at least five tackles in every game he's played in this season but one. Delpit has 84 stops (51 solo) on the year.

Impact The five-time All-Pro now has 11.0 sacks on the year, his seventh straight campaign with double-digit sacks. Garrett has 35 total tackles (29 solo), three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 2024 as well.

Impact The linebacker now has 63 tackles (36 solo), including 1.0 sacks, on the year. Bush has only played on more than 80 percent of the defensive snaps twice this season, but he has clearly been active when he's been on the field.

Impact Tillman, who missed the last two games due to the concussion, opens the preparation for Week 15 in the same state. While Tillman has been out, Michael Woods was elevated to the third wideout.

No kicking change Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Hopkins remains the team's kicker, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
Impact Hopkins, who missed two field goals during Sunday's 27-14 loss to Pittsburgh, is fighting a slump this season. He's converted just 16 of 25 attempts. At this point, with Cleveland eliminated from the postseason, another kicker isn't going to solve the team's many issues, but it's likely there will be a competition next summer.

Will miss time Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski said Newsome (hamstring) will "miss time" but was not sure how long, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Impact Newsome limped off the field with 2:53 remaining in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers after feeling a "pop" in his hamstring. It's the same body part that the cornerback injured during the offseason while training at his alma mater, Northwestern University. He eventually underwent surgery and missed the entire preseason slate of games. With the Browns having been eliminated from the postseason following the Week 14 loss, it would not be surprising if Newsome is held out for the final four games. He has one interception, five passes defensed and 27 tackles through 13 games played.

Still the starter Coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed Monday that Winston will start Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN reports.
Impact When asked Monday why he wouldn't consider using the final four games of the season to evaluate backup QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson now that the 3-10 Browns have been eliminated from playoff contention, Stefanski noted "our focus right now is just trying to find ways to get a win." Winston -- who's logged a 2-4 record as the team's starter -- is thus slated to face 12-1 Kansas City this weekend on the heels of a Week 14 effort in which he completed 24 of 41 passes for 212 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in a 27-14 loss to the Steelers.

Not ready to return Owusu-Koramoah (neck) will not play this Sunday against the Chiefs, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact Owusu-Koramoah has already been on IR for the minimum of four weeks, but it looks like he will spend another week there. Technically, he could be designated to return, and practice with the team and just not suit up Sunday, but that doesn't appear to be the plan either. He'll now set his sights on a Week 16 return against the Bengals.

Two misses in loss Hopkins misfired on both field-goal attempts and converted two extra-point kicks in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers in Week 14.
Impact Hopkins missed wide left on a 38-yarder just before halftime and wasn't close on a 43-yarder he pushed on the first drive coming out of the break. If converted, those two field goals would have tied the game at 13-13. The Browns were in position to add another field goal in the fourth quarter, but coach Kevin Stefanski opted to punt, down 27-7 at the time, from the Steelers' 39-yard line. Hopkins has missed kicks in four of the last five games, going 3-for-9 during that stretch. There will most certainly be a competition next summer for the placekicking job.

Fills in as third wideout Woods caught one of three targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers in Week 14.
Impact Woods was elevated to the active roster for a second consecutive game, as Cedric Tillman (concussion) was inactive once again. His 63 snaps were the third-most among all receivers, behind only Jerry Jeudy and David Njoku. Woods has four catches (eight targets) for 55 yards in the two games.

Backfield snap leader Ford rushed 10 times for 28 yards and caught three of four targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 27-14 loss to Pittsburgh in Week 14.
Impact Ford's 13 touches were his most since coming back a hamstring injury in Week 9. He was on the field for 40 snaps, more than starter Nick Chubb (26) for the second consecutive game, but that has more to do with Cleveland playing from behind. The Browns have attempted more than 40 passes six times in the seven games since Jameis Winston has taken over at quarterback. That's a situation that benefits Ford, who leads the backfield with 36 targets.

Limited to three catches Moore recorded three receptions on four targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers.
Impact Moore was expected to benefit from condensed targets in the absence of Cedric Tillman (concussion). That wasn't the case against the Steelers, however, as Jameis Winston targeted seven different pass catchers multiple times. That left Moore with a mediocre line, and he's now had 35 or fewer receiving yards in two of his last four games.
