Impact While the margin of defeat comes down to the missed extra-point attempt, the Browns' loss was a team-wide breakdown in all phases of the game. York's missed kick left the Browns with a 30-17 lead with 1:55 left, and New York had no timeouts left. The Jets needed a defensive breakdown and the special teams' inability to recover an onside kick. That all happened after coaches failed to instruct the offense to not score if the opportunity presented itself. Instead, Nick Chubb did not kneel down before the end zone and scored a touchdown. Had he taken a knee, the Browns could have run out the clock with a 24-17 win. The missed kick was York's first in the regular season, but the rookie has been very good since he arrived in camp, including the winning 58-yard boot in Week 1.

Ford has returned three kickoffs for an average of 32 yards per return, which ranks third in the league and first among players with more than one attempt.

Impact After a quiet opening game in which he was targeted just once, Njoku was back on top of the tight end group with his five targets. He was on the field for 94 percent of the offensive snaps (63 of 67 snaps), a greater share than he had in Week 1. This is still an offense dominated by its running backs, but quarterback Jacoby Brissett looked downfield more in Week 2 and averaged 8.5 yards per attempt, up from 4.3 against the Panthers, so the Cleveland passing game is beginning to show glimmers of upside.

Impact Johnson opens the season with two inactive designations in the first two games. Both Demetric Felton and Jerome Ford have been active ahead of Johnson, as each have roles in the return game. With Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt healthy, having Johnson active may be seen as a luxury, but it should be noted he also has return experience and could replace either Felton or Ford.

Impact The rushing attempt was Felton's first of the season, and the target his second. He played 12 snaps on offense and 13 more on special teams. The hybrid back has been active ahead of D'Ernest Johnson for the first two games of the season, mostly due to his versatility as a wideout.
