Limited Wednesday Strong (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Impact Strong has missed the Browns' last two games due to a hamstring injury sustained during the team's Week 2 win over the Jaguars. The 25-year-old didn't practice at all last week, so Wednesday's limited session could mean he's trending in a positive direction ahead of the Browns' Week 5 matchup against the Commanders.

Impact Njoku was out the past three weeks after suffering a high-ankle sprain Week 1 against the Cowboys. Coach Kevin Stefanski said Wednesday that the Browns will need to see Njoku practice throughout the week before deciding if he's ready to play this Sunday at Washington. An upgrade to full participation Thursday and/or Friday would put Njoku on track to play.

Impact Hicks aggravated his elbow injury during the Browns' Week 4 loss to the Raiders, but he also appears to be dealing with rib and triceps injuries that are expected to keep him on the sidelines Wednesday. If Hicks isn't able to play through his plethora of injuries in Week 5, expect Khaleke Hudson and Winston Reid to see additional work with Cleveland's first-team defense.

Impact Although the Browns have declined to comment on expectations for Chubb's return to games, their decision to open his 21-day practice window Wednesday suggests they expect him back no later than Week 8. He won't be listed on official injury reports until he's placed on the active roster, which means further updates on the extent of his practice participation will depend on what beat writers are permitted to see and any updates provided by Chubb or his teammates/coaches. Chubb's spot at the back of the hand-off line Wednesday might be taken as a hint that Jerome Ford will get at least one more game in the lead backfield role this Sunday at Washington.

Moving closer to return Dunn (undisclosed) has been designated to return from the reserve/non-football illness list Wednesday.
Impact Dunn has missed the mandatory four games while dealing with an unknown illness. Now presumably healthy, he'll have a 21-day window to practice with the team before needing to be returned to the 53-man roster.

Impact Hines has been out of action since the summer of 2023 when he suffered an ACL tear after being hit by a jet ski. However, he'll now be able to return to the practice field. Considering the time the NC State product has missed, it's highly unlikely he would play as soon as Sunday against the Commanders, but he'll be able to continue getting back up to speed with the team for up to 21 days before a decision on whether to activate him to the 53-man roster has to be made.

Suspended five games Hall (neck) has been suspended by the NFL for five games for violating the Personal Conduct Policy, Dan Graziano of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Hall was on the Commissioner's Exempt List after being charged with domestic violence in mid-August. Because Hall was on that List -- in accordance with the Personal Conduct Policy -- all four of the regular season games he has missed will be credited against his suspension. As such, the rookie second-round pick will be eligible to return to team activities following the Browns' Week 5 game against the Commanders on Oct. 6.
