Could see increased role in 2021 Barton made the Seahawks' 53-man roster, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Impact Barton played just 114 defensive snaps last season, but with K.J. Wright no longer on the roster, he could handle an increased role this season. Still, the Seahawks often roll out just two linebackers. Bobby Wagner and Jordyn Brooks likely will be every-snap players while Barton rotates in. Furthermore, Darrell Taylor, who is listed as a defensive end, could line up as a linebacker as well. All told, there's significant IDP upside for Barton if either Wagner or Brooks goes down, but he shouldn't be dependable under normal circumstances.
