The UCLA product will now be able to practice with the team and could be added to the 53-man roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers if he is healthy enough to play.

Impact Yankoff appears to have picked up a hamstring injury during practice this week. He popped up on Thursday's injury report as a limited practice participant and was listed as a DNP on Friday. The injury is severe enough for Yankoff to miss Sunday's game, but with the Commanders playing on a short week in Week 11, that could mean he may be sidelined for Thursday's NFC East clash against the Eagles on Nov. 14. With Yankoff sidelined for Sunday's game, Washington will go with Zach Ertz, John Bates and Ben Sinnott as the three tight ends on the active roster.

Filling special-teams role Yankoff played all 17 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 30-23 loss to the Ravens.

Impact The undrafted rookie out of UCLA won a spot on the Commanders' season-opening 53-man roster as a fourth tight end, but he secured his place mainly due to his ability to contribute on special teams. He's suited up in five of Washington's first six games of the season and has played all but one of his 81 snaps on special teams.
