Impact A week after posting a solid 3-84 line against the Panthers, Grayson made his return to the active roster Saturday and paid big dividends Sunday. The third-year wideout recorded a game-winning 33-yard touchdown grab with 15 seconds left, a catch that was preceded by a 10-yard reception on first down. With Antonio Brown slated to be released following his unauthorized exit from the game Sunday and Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times relaying Tom Brady has already expressed his trust in the speedster to head coach Bruce Arians, Grayson could be in for a significant role in Week 18 against the Panthers.

Elevated to active roster Grayson was elevated to the Buccaneers' active roster Saturday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Grayson will be active for the second game in a row and for the fourth time this season. Last week, the 5-foot-9 wideout caught three passes for 84 receiving yards and also rushed one time for 14 yards. However, his role is expected to be diminished in Week 17, as Breshad Perriman (illness) is active and Mike Evans (hamstring) is expected to play.

Reverts to practice squad Grayson reverted to the Buccaneers' practice squad Monday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact Grayson was elevated from the practice squad Saturday and immediately occupied a substantial role in the Buccaneers' offense. He totaled 84 receiving yards and three catches -- the highlight came on a 62-yard reception late in the second quarter -- and he also chipped in 14 rushing yards. Grayson is a candidate to be elevated from the practice squad once again in Week 17, though he'll likely see a lessened role due to the return of Breshad Perriman (illness).

Considering Mike Evans (hamstring) was ruled out for a Week 16 visit to Carolina, Chris Godwin (knee) is on injured reserve, and Breshad Perriman and Jaelon Darden are on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Grayson could find his way onto the field Sunday, but Antonio Brown, Tyler Johnson and Scotty Miller figure to earn most of the WR reps.

Impact Grayson flashed big-play potential by taking his only target for a 50-yard touchdown during Sunday's 36-27 loss to the Saints. All said, he played eight offensive snaps and 11 snaps on special teams. However, Grayson may not have an opportunity to be elevated again in Week 10, after Tampa Bay's bye, because Antonio Brown (ankle) looks set to retake the field then.

Impact The LSU product made quite the splash with his first reception since 2019 and only his second NFL grab overall, getting loose downfield on a busted coverage to haul in a 50-yard bomb for a walk-in touchdown with just over five minutes remaining. The play was one of only eight snaps from scrimmage for Grayson, who'd been elevated from the practice squad with Antonio Brown (ankle) inactive. Despite the undeniably impressive play, Grayson appears destined for a demotion with Brown seemingly having a good chance to return in Week 10 against Washington following the Week 9 bye.
