Kincaid's Breakout A Silver Lining For Bills First-round rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid showed his potential in the Buffalo Bills’ loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Breakout game in Week 7 loss Kincaid (concussion) caught all eight of his targets for 75 yards in Sunday's 29-25 loss to the Patriots.

Impact In his return from a one-game absence, Kincaid led the Bills in catches and receiving yards while finishing four targets behind Stefon Diggs' team-high total. This was easily the best game of the 2023 first-round pick's young career, as Kincaid's previous highs were five catches and 43 yards. Kincaid has 25 catches to Dawson Knox's 15 heading into Thursday's Week 8 game against the Buccaneers, but Knox continues to take priority in the red zone while Kincaid has yet to find the end zone in his young career. Knox had a would-be touchdown erased by a penalty in the first quarter and caught a two-point conversion in the fourth.

Clears concussion protocol Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday that Kincaid has cleared the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Kincaid missed the Bills' Week 6 win over the Giants while in the protocol, but he appears to have received the green light for full contact in addition to gaining clearance from an independent neurologist in advance of Wednesday's walk-through practice. Barring any setbacks during the week of practice, Kincaid shouldn't face any restrictions heading into Sunday's matchup with the Patriots. As such, expect Kincaid and Dawson Knox to work as Buffalo's top tight ends this weekend while Quintin Morris (ankle) fades into the No. 3 role after recording a 15-yard touchdown reception against the Giants.
