Impact Tomlinson passed his physical Monday, meaning he's now cleared to resume practicing after having missed all of training camp and the preseason. The starting defensive tackle spent time sidelined due to an offseason knee procedure. He now has two weeks remaining to get in game shape ahead of Cleveland's regular-season opener, Sept. 8, against the Cowboys.

Undergoes surgery Tomlinson underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Friday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Impact Cleveland head Kevin Stefanski indicated the surgery was successful but did not offer a timeline for Tomlinson's return. The team is hoping he'll be ready to go for the season opener, Sept. 8, against the Cowboys. Tomlinson's main contribution in 2023 was to occupy bodies and set up sacks for edge rushers.

Impact Tomlinson now seems to be dealing with a knee injury that will sideline him for the beginning of Cleveland's training camp. The veteran defensive tackle is coming off a productive first year with the Browns, posting 28 total tackles, including 3.0 sacks across 16 appearances in 2023. Once Tomlinson returns to form, he's expected to remain the Browns' top interior defensive lineman.
