On track to make season debut Bakhtiari (knee), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions, announced via his personal Twitter account that he expects to play.

Impact The star left tackle's availability won't be officially confirmed until 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, when Green Bay releases its inactive list. However, with Bakhtiari appearing to have checked out fine following a full practice Friday, he looks like he'll be able to make his season debut. With Green Bay already having clinched the NFC's No. 1 overall seed for the postseason, Bakhtiari and several other starters could play only limited snaps in a mostly meaningless regular-season finale, but barring any setbacks, the 30-year-old should be ready to handle a full workload in the divisional round. Bakhtiari hasn't played in a game since suffering a torn ACL in practice Dec. 31, 2020.

The 30-year-old's return from a torn ACL hasn't gone exactly as planned given he's remained sidelined since being activated from the PUP list Nov. 10, but a return for the final game of the regular season, and more importantly the playoffs, is apparently still on the table.

Impact Bakhtiari appeared to be nearing a return from an ACL injury that ended his 2020 season when he returned to practice on Oct. 20. However, after getting activated from the IR he subsequently seemingly suffered some sort of setback and underwent an arthroscopic procedure in late November. He again appears to be nearing a return and the Packers certainly would like him to get a week under his belt before the playoffs commence.

Unlikely to play Christmas Day Coach Matt Lafleur said Tuesday that he wouldn't anticipate Bakhtiari (knee) playing against the Browns on Saturday, Stacey Dales of NFL Network reports.

Impact Bakhtiari underwent surgery in January to repair a torn ACL and started the season on the PUP list. He was cleared to return to practice on Oct. 20 and was officially added to the active roster Nov. 10 in order to beat the 21-day window for activation. However, the All-Pro left tackle couldn't get back to 100 percent, so he underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his surgically repaired knee Nov. 23. He was able to return to practice in a limited capacity last week for the first time since his latest surgery and appears to be progressing in the right direction. Nonetheless, there doesn't seem to be any need to rush Bakhtiari back after the Packers wrapped up the NFC North title by beating the Ravens in Week 15.
