Heavy volume in win Montgomery rushed 21 times for 45 yards and a touchdown and caught seven passes for 61 yards in the Bears' 25-24 win over the Seahawks on Sunday.

Impact With Seattle loading up to stop the run, Montgomery found very little room to operate, but by leading the team in rushing attempts and targets, his volume allowed him to surpass 100 yards from scrimmage. He could've had a bigger day, but he was unable to turn a rushing attempt and target from near the goal line during one drive into an additional score. He'll have an excellent matchup against the Giants next week in which he should be a top-15 option at running back.

Impact Montgomery had a number of successful runs up the middle early in the game, but with the Bears going with a run-heavy approach, the Vikings began to place the focus of the defense on him, resulting in a number of runs for no gain or lost yardage. With Chicago largely unable to move the ball consistently, Montgomery had no chances to carry the ball near the end zone. Although he'll have a couple tough upcoming matchups against the Seahawks and Giants, his volume as both a runner and receiver ensures he'll be a strong option in the fantasy playoffs.

Impact Montgomery left his dominant performance last week (141 total yards and a touchdown) with some battle scars, but he still produced well despite an unfavorable game script in the second half. When healthy, the 24-year-old is the Bears' most-consistent offensive weapon, but Chicago's inability to produce leads puts a cap on what the running back can do in certain matchups. Montgomery has a favorable matchup against the Vikings next Monday (19.1 fantasy points allowed to opposing RBs this season) if the Bears can keep the score close.
